A: No, you have to provide and install your own sim card, or you can select a giffgaff sim card with a £5 credit, it’s free, just add this to your order.

Q: What are the data running costs?
A: Once setup the running costs (personal experience on my assets over a six month period: 181 days) are 12 pence to 13.5 pence per day.

Q: How does my tracker work?
A: The tracker works based on the existing GSM / GPRS network and GPS satellites. Your tracker can locate and monitor any remote targets by SMS, APP and internet.

Q: What is a Geo-fence?
A: A geo-fence is a virtual fence around a geographic area (like a home, place of business or parked up on a day out) which can be set on your app.

Q: What is IMEI?
A: The IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) is a unique identification or serial number unique to your tracker which relates to the identity of your tracker. You should make a note of your IMEI number right now if you haven’t already.

Q: What is an APN? (Access Point Name)
A: The APN is the gateway between a GSM, GPRS, 3G or 4G mobile network. The GPS tracker making a data connection must be configured with an APN (mobile phone network) to connect to the carrier.

Q: What is LBS?
A: LBS (Location Based Service) is a software-level service that uses location data to control features. In this case with the tracker, it identifies location.

Q: What is GSM?
A: GSM (Global System Mobile communication) is a digital mobile telephone
system (Protocols) used by mobile devices / mobile phones.

Q: What is GPRS? (General Packet Radio Service)
A: GPRS is a packet oriented mobile data service on 2G, 3G and 4G cellular communication system’s global system for mobile communications. (GSM)
